Nothing new here to people who have been paying attention.
Time Magazine, August 23 1999:
“[Buford] Furrow headed for Los Angeles, carrying an AR-15 rifle, an Israeli-made Uzi, several handguns and stockpiles of ammunition accumulated over the years. He had apparently cased three Jewish institutions in the city–the Skirball Cultural Center, the University of Judaism and the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance–before deciding their security was too tight.”
Also:
“[The young gunman] debated whether he should attack his middle school, from which he’d been expelled, or his elementary school, just up the road,” the Post reported. He decided on Townville Elementary because it was closer and had no armed security. “It’ll be like shooting fish in a barrel,” he wrote.
