    Probably, the same way “our” governor Inslee in WA treated the will of the people a few years ago: simply ignore it.
    We had a question on a ballot asking if the government should raise the price of an annual permission (or whatever it is called officially…) to own a car from $30 to approximately $300-$500/year, depending on the car.
    I don’t remember the number, but something like 70% of Washington state voters voted “no”… and the price was raised anyway.

    There were no “representatives” involved. The will of the people, directly from the ballot. And a hearty “f*** you” in response.

    They don’t even need to spin it. They have the power to do whatever they want… for now.
