Everyone can rely on ATF’s prior classifications until they decide, on their own, to change them again.
Or until Congress finally does its job and jerks the junkyard dog’s chain hard enough to finally get their attention. Like the punchline of the joke about the Irishman walking out of a bar, it could happen.
In other words, what was legal yesterday is now illegal today. Ex-Post Facto. But no new law was passed by Congress! This is a new rule of men. Not rule of law. So is this new rule repugnant to the Constitution, and therefore null and void?
