  1. I’m glad to see some judges having the good sense to reject ridiculous plea deals.

    I wonder if that little detail — that it’s ultimately up to a judge, not the prosecutor, to approve any deals — is explained to defendants who make such agreements, and what their recourse is after they plead Guilty in return for the deal and have it rejected. Can they withdraw their plea and change it back to Not Guilty?
