I see two trends coming together:
more creeps are emboldened to do harm expecting impunity.
More honest citizens are maintining their ability to respond appropriately when harm is being perpetrated.
Since there are more good honest folk out there, and we are incresingly armed, the problem of public violence WILL self-correct.
The BlueSuits only show up to watch the flickershow from the store’s video cameras, make chalklines where appropriate, write down poeple’s names in their tiny spiral notepads, then pile in their cars and rendezvous at the donut shop. (I admit, I fudged on that last item)
