  1. Sure, I’ve felt this way. Because before becoming a gun owners, I lived exclusively in two deep blue states and a huge blue county in a purple state whose words and actions continuously hammered their citizens with the message that guns were the most dangerous things on earth and only criminals and highly-questionable citizens owned them, much less carried them. Even after obtaining my first CCW, I was constantly worried about, “what am I going to do if someone catches me with this (perfectly legal) gun?” The constant social propaganda works, but it does damage to your head.
