  1. The alteration and/or disabling of what we know as “the internet” is only a matter of a few input messages. One can be sure that the “powers that be” have those messages parked in a file somewhere ready for execution in batch form via a shell script.

    OFC, any “bad actors” who have achieved access to the correct systems could do the same for their own purposes.

    For those reasons, and others, corporate policy at “TPC” forbid any access to any network infrastructure via dial up or internet means. IOW, you had to have access to one secured system in order to get access to another secured system. And all of the layers were subject to regular and random pentest.
