Well, no you probably don’t.
The First Amendment does not give you government permission to say whatever you want, at any time you want, to anyone you want, without fear of repercussion. It merely prohibits government from stopping you from saying it.
If, after you violate the “Poor Richard” rule about remaining silent, your employer decides keeping you on the payroll is more trouble than you’re worth, well “Life’s a bitch, and then you die!”
