Me Being Pessimistic

My wife and I had occasion to go to an event in Cleveland last Friday evening and our route took us past Progressive Field where the India…uh…Guardians had a home game about to begin. The snarled traffic, with tens of thousands of people streaming in after paying not just for tickets but filling nearby parking lots charging $50, got me to pondering how many of our countrymen aren’t taking the existential threats we face, internally and externally, all that seriously — assuming they’re not just oblivious to them.

  1. Same feeling. I’ve had good conversations with plenty at church who are unassuming regarding the ongoing invasion and their sentiments match my own, they just don’t know what or how to do “the things” to improve their position. In a way, a recent break-in nearby opened the avenue for having said conversation with the unassuming and has put them in the (needed) dilemma of HAVING to do something to improve their situation. Do put yourselves out there to have the conversations about Aurora & Chicago’s invasion of Venezuela gangs (news broke today).
