- Anti-ICE Protesters Attack Agents Outside SF Court
- Saboteurs Busted for Spiking Tires of LA ICE Vehicles
Part of me thinks “Opening salvos of CW2.” Perhaps, but another part thinks this is what those manipulating the predictable have planned before the midterms, the administration to horrify the normies, and the Democrats hoping to create martyrs and amplified outrage.
I guess all three outcomes are not mutually exclusive.

“I guess all three outcomes are not mutually exclusive.”
And, as always, lurking in the background, is the Law of Unintended Consequences.
The spiking tires, the burning cars, the attacking of federal buildings — but not directly attacking the agents themselves — all of it has been described elsewhere as “mid-level violence”.
It’s the adult equivalent of the “I’m not touching you!” thing that kids do to get each other in trouble for retaliating. Or the pouring water/soda/glitter/acid/etc. that “campus protesters” do to people they don’t like, as if “not making physical contact” means it’s any less an assault.
To whit: We’re destroying your vehicles, your equipment, and your facilities, but we’re not attacking you, so you can’t do anything about it! Neener neener ha ha!
At some point, it’s going to be recognized that the threat is there even if the actual assault isn’t, and self-defense, including violent self-defense, is warranted.
(For the “campus protesters” who pour or throw liquids, I’ve always thought that a face-full of pepper spray would be a valid response. They attacked without touching, we responded without touching. Equivalent force used in a proportional response.)
