Rope-Selling Capitalists

“I’m very uncomfortable with that. I think regressive tax is immoral,” he added… “So, the tariff which falls on us becomes a regressive tax falling on the folks on the lower end of the economic spectrum.” [More]

It’s not like he deals in necessities– that just means people need to live within their means. And funny– you don’t hear most gun owners say the same thing about Pittman-Robertson.

As far as price-raising tariffs (and sales taxes) go, I’d argue that everyone paying for what they buy is more equitable than income taxes. The “rich,” who buy more, pay more. Allowing those who take without paying for government “entitlements” and services to vote is a sure way to guarantee “majority rule democracy” will demand free rides until the mule drops. Just as taxation without representation is intolerable, so is representation without it.

There’s a reason the Founders provided for tariffs and disallowed income taxes.

But this isn’t about politics. Honest.

“We’re not for Mr. Trump or against Mr. Trump, we’re against the misapplication of law,” he told FOX Business.

Don’t tell us, tell Open Secrets and the company’s Democrat exclusivity.

My favorite is this guy:

“This Bratz is right now a number one selling toy…” Larian said. “They are made in China right now, and they sell for $25. There is no way to make that in America and if it was, it would be $50 instead of $25.”

What, the price might go up for pouty-lipped protoslut dolls designed to sexualize little girls? The ones that exalt lesbianism and that aren’t sold in China? Could that be because its slave labor-providing government knows better than to allow imperialist running dogs to groom their children?

If the communists these trait… uh … traders enable ever take over, who thinks the dictatorship of the proletariat they establish will favorably recall the bourgeoisie who paved the way for them when it’s lime pit time?

In striking down President Trump’s tariffs under the IEEPA, the Supreme Court’s explanation of the distinction between congressional power to tax versus the power to regulate provides a great precedent to help win our 2A and NFA fights moving forward. [Watch]

So, that’s what we call a “silver lining”…?
