  1. So the retailers are lening on the US COngress to fix this? What cn Congress do? This is a state issue and Congress can’t legally fix it.
    Retailers must begin leaning on the tate governments to either come up with a functional fix, or leave those jurisdictions. Sure Target needs the retail volume in very state. But I’ll bet if they run the numbers they’d be better off by leaving the five states responsible for the greatest share of their “shrinkage”. When California wakes up (HAH!!!) and realises they can’t go off to the mall and buy their toiletries and toys because all the big box stores have left, maybe their state government might begin to wake up. I know that CVS have refused to rebuild and return to areas where they were hit hard during the “mostly peaceful” “demonstrations”. They have also closed more stores in the roungher areas that had not (yet) been damaged.

    Laws relating to shoplifting, theft, etc, need to be restored to what they were twenty years ago. A guy could sit for a week in jail for “lifting’ a deck of smokes.
