  1. Well before the founding of our republic, the people who became Americans were in the habit of quietly, or sometimes not so quietly, ignoring the laws they did not agree with.

    But like Captain Renault in “Casablanca”, I’m “shocked, SHOCKED”, that the people of Chicago, given their tradition of scrupulously obeying the law on firearms, would ignore this new one.
