If/when my gun and I go out in public, the gun is invisible.
So the presence or absence of a gun and a trigger lock are akin to “Schrodinger’s Cat.”
Is the cat alive or dead?
Am I armed or not?
If so, is the trigger locked or not?
The latter two possibilities are prime examples of FAFO.
Hillary Holes! It wasn’t just S&W and Taurus who installed them, but Remington put them in the trigger guards of their Jam O Matics and pump rifles on the mid ’90s and early ’00s too.
Reminds me of Vin Suprynowicz’s column fisking the Safe-T-Block “safety device,” in which he proposed asking a cop to show him the bright orange safety block installed on his carry gun. Of course, he’d never have one, so neither would Vin.
