’24 NRA Annual Compliance Report To Members [More]
Yeah, I’m a Life Member, too, and if they sent this out or otherwise publicized it, I missed it.
Tangentially related, I haven’t had the time (or the inclination, to be honest) to find out anything about these guys. If you have knowledge, please educate the rest of us in comments.
I’m guessing its buried somewhere on the website.
This endowment member didn’t get copy either.
Must be part of the NRA 2.0 transparency I keep reading about.
Gonna steal one from Dr. Malcolm of “Jurassic Park” fame.
“Ah, now eventually you do plan to have transparency on your, on your transparency tour, right?”
See, that’s the downside of getting caught being less than honest. You lose that benefit of the doubt. There is no way anyone with a more than room temperature IQ is ever going to “just trust” the NRA in this lifetime.
On another blog, nraindanger, a reader said he was able to find this report on a part of the NRA website that only NRA members can access.
After reading his comment, I looked at nra.org, and couldn’t find a place for a members login window, or link or something. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, I’m only saying I couldn’t find it.
This report was court ordered. Now, I’m speculating, but, that being the case and since it paints the NRA in a very lousy light, if I were the PR team, I’d suggest burying it on a NRA website no one knows exists, and only members can see(if they know about it at all). Then we can tell the judge, “we’re in compliance, we made it available to members!!!”.
I tried logging into my member account tonight to look for it but it would not let me in and so I tried “forgot password” and they were supposed to send me a reset email that never came. I’ll call them in the morning, and we all can call, too, 1-877-672-2000, and ask them where to find the report, and importantly, where to find where they told members about it. Alternatively, it will get more eyes and be harder to hide if we publicly ask them on X.
I just tried logging into my NRA account too. Evidently I have an account, though I don’t remember ever making one. I too tried the “forgot password”. And I too was supposedly sent a reset email. It hasn’t come. All that money to Infocision’s really paying off… http://www.nramemberservices.org
Too late now, I’ll try calling tomorrow.
