75-year-old Vermont homeowner opens fire with muzzleloader after he says 3 armed men tried breaking in [More]
In other words, he used a “weapon of war.”
That bit about looking for his 40-year-old son makes me think there’s more to this to come.

I have an idea that might save some time. Let’s make a list of firearm types that have never been used as “weapons of war.”
Ready? Here it is!
∅ = { }
For those of you who get headaches dealing with any math more advanced that Algebra 1, “∅”, the Greek letter we call “phi” is used as math “shorthand” for the empty or null set: i.e. a set that does not have any members. And a set that has no members is written as { }.
IOW, there ain’t any firearms that have not been used as weapons of war, never have been, probably never will be. Why didn’t I just say that at the get go? Because it’s early and I haven’t pi$$ed anyone off yet. I like to get the important stuff out of the way early in the day. 🙂
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find some Advil for this headache.
“But wait, there more!” — Billy Mays
Extra credit question. If we let them ban “weapons of war”, how many of our firearms will they be banning?
