With the General Assembly’s May 4 “crossover deadline” looming, we need a hearing for House Bill 189 (“NC Constitutional Carry Act”) ASAP. If the bill doesn’t clear at least the NC House, it will be dead for the two year session, effectively meaning it can’t be re-introduced until 2025. You helped us pass SB 41. Now help us pass constitutional carry, eliminating the need for a governmental “permission slip” to exercise your Second Amendment rights. If you’re a North Carolina gun owner worth a damn you will sign the petition and contact the Republican leadership and Judiciary Committee members. GRNC couldn’t make it easier. If you’re a North Carolina gun owner NOT worth a damn, I doubt if you’re over here reading this.
I do have a nit to pick with my friends at GRNC: I reject the notion that “some gun rights advocates have objected to the lack of a training requirement.” If they do, that makes them gun CONTROL advocates. And you know how I feel about trainers who put the thin green line over principles.
