My wife and a co-worker were watching not distant enough smoke rising from one of Miami’s all too frequent riots back in the 80s. The co-worker, an ethnic Jew from Uzbekistan, whose family had been expelled from the USSR for “frowned on” activities (the making and selling of ball point ink pins — I kid you not), remarked Where are the tanks? Why doesn’t someone just shoot them?
Do we not have enough street level thugs? Are they some kind of endangered, protected class? Why don’t we just shoot them?
