  1. Have worked polls in TX since mid 90s.

In the days of punch cards we’d get a list of voters ‘voting early’ prior to election day and more recently the ‘system’ (Hart Intercivic) tags registered voters who have ‘requested a mail ballot’.
More than a few voters at the poll state that they have ‘not requested a mail ballot’ or if they have, that they’ve not received it.

I cannot state with certainty what percentage of those flagged voters are straight up, or what numbers are pulling my chain.

Anyway, they can either vote provisional or take their complaints downtown.

Provisional voters are to be notified by the ‘election administrator’s office’ (don’t get started on that) as to whether or not the provisional vote counted. I have no idea if that is done. And I have no idea how many provisionals were counted or discarded when the fools extended poll hours.

The ‘latency’ story is awesome…of course the system lags until just before midnight when all those ballots finally upstream through the data center.
