How she ultimately conducts herself, despite her assurances to the Committee about resisting undue pressures from the White House, will reflect squarely on Donald Trump. He nominated her with full knowledge that her past actions rendered her unacceptable to many Second Amendment advocates counting on him to honor his campaign promises. [More]
So, it’s Bondi’s job as AG is to defend the law, regardless…? The Second Amendment is part of “the supreme Law of the Land.”
Point the first: The United States Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land.
Point the second: The 2nd Amendment is part of the U.S. Constitution.
Point the third: Upon taking office, Pam Bondi will swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
If she chooses to defend federal gun laws against 2nd Amendment challenges, she is by definition breaking her oath. She should be supporting and defending the 2nd Amendment from all federal gun laws.
And as a proper defense often includes counter-attack, she should be leveraging the authority of her office to charge the collectivists who author and enforce “gun control” laws under 18 U.S.C. 241 and 242.
And we shall re-erect those cowardly Rs again and again.
If memory serves the Committee members included a well regarded 2A proponent or two.
