They had been advocating that SDS start bombing American elementary schools so that, after losing their own children, American parents would finally start understanding the pain of South Vietnamese parents who had lost children in the American bombings of southeast Asia.
They went on to found Weather Underground, become federal, respected(?) academics, and the first supporters of Barak Obama’s political career. (His first fund raiser was held in their Chicago living room.)
