Thank you for bringing this up, below is an email I’ve been posting for two months and some of the replies are ridiculous all from 1 senator Lankford from OK.

The only reply I received was from Lankford and he said it was not a state senator and I should contact my senator representative.
I believe this ban is a burden to the public and a violation of the Second Amendment, one it is a rule written by the COE and they have no authority to enforce it and rely on local authorities, local authorities may not be allowed to enforce federal rules per link below page 5 Law enforcement authority.
Other public land (BLM, National Forest) relies on state law and state law enforcement, that’s better but is a burden in anti gun states without reciprocity.

What is the Army Corps Gun Ban?** – **Title 36 § 327.13** bans the possession of firearms, ammunition, and other weapons on land managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. – **Exceptions** exist for law enforcement, hunting, authorized shooting ranges, or with written permission from the District Commander. – **Penalties:** Fines up to $5,000 and six months in prison.
⚖️ **Legal Challenge: Morris v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers** – Court applied **strict scrutiny**, finding the ban burdened a **core Second Amendment right**—self-defense in one’s tent. – Case was **appealed to the Ninth Circuit** but later dismissed after the Corps agreed to **consider policy changes.**
📝 **Proposed Rule Change (COE-2018-0008)** – The Corps proposed **aligning their policy with National Parks**, allowing lawful carry, but no updates have been made.

The Army Corp of Engineers has a ban on guns within the land under it authority wile other public land like BLM and National Parks rely upon state laws, good for most states but not for anti gun states.
Is there a chance you could address this or bring it to the attention of someone that may be able to help?
The ninth circuit ruled in favor of gun owners, but the Army Corp of Engineers never followed through on the agreement.
