Massachusetts Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) asking it to “closely examine” facial recognition-enabled ammunition vending machines that have recently been installed in supermarkets in certain states. [More]
Yeah, why does it need to ID us?

I am also expecting Senators Market and Warren to write letters to the manufacturers of the Great Zoltan fortune telling machines demanding that they improve the quality of the fortune telling. Unfortunately, neither the Great Zoltan, automated ammunition dispensers nor live retail clerks in stores that sell ammunition (online and in person) can accurately predict the future.
BTW The letters to Santa Claus from the younger Markey and Warren must be a hoot, demanding to know why the items requested in previous years were not delivered and specifying a timeline for a detailed response.
