I used to have some respect for NRA A Rated endorsements. After all, Sen. Chuck Schumer – F = Bad must imply Sen. Foghorn Leghorn – A = Good.

I have a few pieces of memorabilia of mistakes I made, mounted in my office, as reminders to stay humble. One of them is a matched set of orange bumper stickers. The first says, GUN OWNERS FOR BLUTE, supporting NRA endorsed Republican Peter Blute. The second reads BOOT BLUTE, printed after he voted for both the Brady Bill AND the AW “ban” in his first (and only) congressional term.
