Given the number of stories where someone drops a mag, then proceeds to blow their own, or a friend’s, brains out with the round they left in the chamber, being able to clear a random weapon handed to you by an instructor would constitute “common sense gun safety.” That’s what my kids learned when it was age appropriate to move on from “Eddie Eagle.”
