It’s Showtime!

The U.S. Supreme Court has distributed a third Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) case, B&L Productions v. Newsom, for conference on Friday, Jan. 24. The case challenges California’s statutes which ban gun shows on state-owned property. Because the gun shows at issue are not only opportunities to view and purchase firearms, but also for like-minded individuals to assemble and share ideas, the case presents questions about both the First and Second Amendments. Having followed this issue for many years, I say apathetic gun show attendees own their share of the mess they’ve allowed. They’re no doubt part of the majority that don’t contribute to efforts like this to clean up that mess.

So much to unpack. SAF and convicted (of fraud) felon Gottlieb plus those “zip tied gun shows” i.e. actions must be zip tied on carry gear no loose ammo no loaded mags etc in a freaking gun show with thousands of guns on display. And you David have seen Gottlieb’s antics first hand when his rice bowl org purchased JPFO and cashiered you. And the WA capitol antics I saw firsthand where certain rice bowl staff said such gems on the microphone in front of hundreds or thousands as “background checks are a good thing”. And the whole “feeding the lawyers” thing alongside the rice bowl “give us your money and we will protect your rights” excuse the you know what out of me I will keep my money and protect my own rights thank you very much! Resist. Defy. Evade. Smuggle.

While you close your rant with Mike’s words, you seem upset that Gottlieb needs money to protect.your liberties. To which I reply, if you are not willing to put forth a small sum to pay the legal costs associated, and also badmouth a man who has done more than you in the field, shut your yap! And since I am well involved with the fight for our rights, I also say to you, take your personal feelings and check them at the door, because you obviously don’t really care. Alan Gottlieb has more than redeemed himself in the eyes of the RKBA fighters, precisely because of what you claim are his faults. Throw rocks at the side that wishes you harm. Not at those working on your behalf, Maurice!

I maintained a WogRoll at the old Blogspot place predicated on reciprocity with like-minded RKBA-related sites. Truth be told, I never got much in terms of site visits to make the effort worth the time. I may try to do something again in the future, but for now, my hands are more than full trying to get a new site started.

I have had a few ads on the old site in the past and may do so again if I think it’s worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn’t buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don’t mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now–you’re not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer without complete disclosure.

About “The Only Ones”

So named from a comment by DEA agent Lee Paige, who told a classroom full of kids he was “the only one” qualified to be armed and then promptly shot himself in the foot, the purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it’s also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank, or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they’re involved in gun-related incidents.
