…Imagine not knowing who among us us carrying a hidden, loaded gun…” [Watch]
Yeah, that’s kind of the point, and we don’t have to imagine: The public doesn’t “know” in every state of the union that has some kind of permit, and in 29 states that recognize permitless carry.
What Nick and Everytown are saying is they want everywhere, in every town, to be a “gun-free zone,” where the only “legal” arms are borne by violence monopoly enforcers and the rest by criminals and terrorists. It’s not just reciprocity they oppose — it’s ALL carry, and they’re counting on the herbivores dumb enough to follow them to also be too dumb to see they’re once more allowing themselves to be swindled out of their rights.
Imagine places where that is so… OK, not there but here… well, anyway, imagine being in such a place and then ask yourself how much good “anti-gun male” Nick Suplina would be at protecting his family or himself, and why he demands imposing that wretched impotence on men and women who can.
“…Imagine not knowing who among us us carrying a hidden, loaded gun…”
Oh, I imagine along those lines every time I go out in public. I try to Guess who’s carrying, then what kind of hardware and in what caliber.
Right now I’m imagining that Ms. Suplina would be having a fit of the vapours at my attitude. And, no, I don’t think I got that pronoun wrong.
As you said, even if they banned all forms of legal, non-Only-One carry in public, the criminals and terrorists would still carry…
… which means ol’ Nick still wouldn’t know “who among us is carrying a hidden, loaded gun.”
The only difference would be that if he had his way, and the criminals and terrorists still carrying guns decided to start trouble, there’s nobody around to stop it. (And no, I don’t count on Only Ones to feel compelled to intervene; previous history and multiple SCOTUS precedents inform my opinion on that and I’ve seen scant little reason to change it.)
What an idiot.
As if he knows now, in any crowd, what criminal is carrying a concealed gun.
In his Utopia, that will be the ONLY possible remaining scenario.
Reminds me of the other idiot, Sarah Brady, who said, “I don’t want to have to live in a world where you have to carry a gun to protect yourself.”
Well, I don’t want to have to live in a world where people get swindled, or beat up, or die in falls, but guess what? That’s the world we all have to live in, it’s just that I’m not stupid enough to think I can change it by writing laws.
