‘GOP’ House candidate admits she’s actually a progressive in viral video: ‘Telling people the truth’ [More]
Tricking low-information voters to vote for her– How is this not election interference, especially if the criteria used to convict is the charge that “One of the foundational rights we hold as Americans, a right that many fought so hard to obtain, is the right to vote. The defendant weaponized disinformation in a dangerous scheme to stop targeted groups … from participating in our democracy”?
Yeah, I know, that was overturned. Still, it’s illustrative of Democrat double standards.
It is a felony for a citizen to lie to law enforcement, but not for law enforcement to lie to a citizen.
Imagine how our society would be different of the latter were not true.
Now imagine a bit farther along that possibility, to a society where it was a felony for an office holder, or a candidate for office, to lie to a citizen in an official capacity or as part of their campaign for office.
For example, how would Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) be able to claim that he’s saving “our democracy” from the GOP by thwarting the will of 70% of the electorate when it comes to requiring a voter to produce photo ID before casting a ballot?
Going back a few years, how could Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) have claimed that Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) had not filed a federal tax return in the previous 10 years?
IOW, how would our politics be different if lying made most if not all of the dirty tricks that our politicians pull on each other difficult if not impossible to pull without going to jail and/or being barred from office?
