With only one week left in Canada’s buyback-of-banned-arms program, Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree suggests police will go door-to-door during Spring and Summer to collect guns. [More]
Gary Anandasangaree… Gary Anandasangaree…
Isn’t he that immigrant from Sri Lanka? And he’s now making that threat against the people who welcomed him in and gave him opportunities his culture never could…?
*Anybody* can be a Canadian, just like *anybody* can be an American!
“Nobody” can be an American 🙂
“Nobody’s” kneejerk hostility and not so veiled threat suggests he is not very neighborly or grateful to America for welcoming him. Not somebody I would care to bestow citizenship on.
It is like joining a family, for example, through marriage. The married-in person may now be part of his spouse’s family, but it is in very bad taste for him to then presume to dictate how the family should be organized, behave, etc.
I invite Canadian owners of firearms to investigate the Battle of Lexington and Concord 250 years ago in Massachusetts which we in the United States will commemorate in a few weeks. People disagreed with the government and acted on it when the government attempted to seize locally owned property and to seize citizens opposed to government. The government sent a great number of armed troops to conduct the seizures. It did not go well for the armed troops and for the government.
.
“The RCMP and other agencies will be available throughout the spring and the summer to do the collection,” the Minister replied.”
“And what are your plans to replace that personnel over the fall and winter?”
