NRA and President Trump Can Determine Whether Virginia Goes to Earle-Sears or the Democrats

Deserving gun owners now want better of President Trump, and it’s not hyperbole to conclude that if he—and NRA—don’t do a lot more, and quickly, Virginia could be lost to the Democrats. [More]

NRA: You owe it to your members to allocate the necessary manpower and funding resources to follow the comprehensive plan you’ve been given. President Trump:You owe it to the gun-owning voters who elected you to put your personal resentments aside and endorse her.

  1. I remember when it was one of the proggies’ major whines that NRA was some steamroller political kingmaker. How far “our” association has declined.

  2. Good but sad article. Trump’s problem seems to be ego. And NRA’s problem is… Who knows?
Since no national group’s interested in this election, it really makes me think we should be putting our time and energy into state groups instead, and make the national groups hurt, financially, unless or until they come around. Messaging them on X hasn’t amounted to even one reply.
The “professionals” are truly letting us down.

To be clear, the election will be decided by those voters who care enough about the results to actually vote.

To be sure, there are many cooks trying to influence what comes out of that particular stew pot. But blaming the results on which organization stirred the hardest is akin to blaming a gun instead of the person with their finger inside the trigger guard.

    1. And NRA and Trump can use their tremendous influence to ensure the message is heard and its urgency is understood.

As can readers here and at AmmoLand. Yet, for reasons I can’t understand but have run into all too often, and in spite of tens of thousands of readers, there are only 6 comments and link shares on social media are practically nonexistent.

      1. FWIW, I don’t have a socmed presence but often attempt to communicate with assorted pols, interest groups, and such on things that I believe to be important. Can count the replies over the past couple of years on less than one hand. NRA lifer for about 40 yrs, ceased contris during Wayne’s interminable tenure as the organization shifted away from effective advocacy to irritating money begs, give-aways and big paychecks for hdqtrs pukes. Concluded that none of the advocacy groups are serious about winning the day as big wins reduce threat levels and their ability to beg for cash.
BTW, cannot afford gold/silver/platinum/etc., so just investing in lead 🙂

      2. You’re starting to sound like this guy.

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” ― Winston S. Churchill
