I don’t understand it either. There are solidly pro-gun states like Kansas, South Dakota and Utah that have a similar climate and motivated workforce. Why Wisconsin? For that matter, why does Federal stay in Minnesota, a state that is about as far left as New Jersey? At least Federal may have an excuse – it’s easier to move a machining operation like a gun factory than it is an ammo plant that produces primers, which is really a hazardous chemical manufacturing operation. I also question Nosler, Crimson Trace and Leupold staying in Oregon, which lately has been competing with California for a Giffords “A+” rating.
