Talk about rearranging the deck chairs. They’re not even asking to be allowed the means of self-protection, they’re just asking that the penalty for people who threaten them should be raised to meet the penalty for people who threaten other people like them. Do they really think that the sort of passenger who pulls weapons on them are going to even know this has occurred, much less care?
