Promises to Keep

Army secretary hails ‘heroism’ of soldiers who tackled alleged Fort Stewart shooter: ‘Absolutely saved lives’- Six soldiers put themselves in harm’s way when Sergeant Quornelius Radford allegedly shot five people at Georgia base [More]

And President Trump says “the perpetrator of the shooting at the Fort Stewart military base in Georgia will be ;prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.’’’

A question, if it’s not too impertinent:

What happened to noises Trump 1.0 was making seven years ago “to Allow Troops to Carry Personal Weapons on Bases”…?

I hope that merits a more intelligent and responsive MAGA rejoinder than “Would you rather have Kamala?”

  1. Both of Trump’s campaigns consisted of making many overtures and promises to conservative special interest issues, whether they were immigration, schooling, street violence, firearms rights, DEI, inexpensive reliable energy, trans overreach, election reform, whatever. I’d be interested to see somebody like DataRepublican compile a table of promises made versus concrete action delivered on each of these topics. I have a strong suspicion that we firearms people will walk away with the lowest quotient.

    1. I think you’re right, especially your last point.
If Trump keeps this up, the GOP will have an ugly mid terms.

  2. Trump’s been an absolute failure on 2A period. He can’t even allow soldiers to be armed while on base? And this guy is 100% “support the troops”? And 2A groups keep assuring us he’s the most “pro 2A president ever”?

Also, neither Trump nor his DoD, nor the puppet Biden to be fair did anything about the military Sig M17/M18 problems.

If Trump keeps upsetting 2A voters, the GOP will have a very ugly mid terms.
