The guy’s assurances on guns all come with huge escape clauses. So why are so many gun owners being taken in by equivocal platitudes?

Pretty simple answer, really. Kennedy is anti-gun, written in stone. He may hem and haw, and draw diagrams, but he wants them gone. Period. Voters are flesh and blood, and they yearn for someone they can trust, especially a known quantity. Like a Kennedy. They listen, and he talks, trying to reassure them in political speech that everything will be fine, just hand him the reins. They believe him because, they WANT to believe him. If he does get selected, he’ll prove to be just another liar. He’ll try to take the guns. I say try because, it’s just another gargantuan exercise in futility, like the jab. People want to believe, even when they suspect they’re being lied to. Oh, and I’d expect a major gun grab before Nov., if I were you. If we don’t all become radioactive first.
