I (and I suspect you) haven’t been able to get into the site for the past two hours because of that “too many requests” error we’ve discussed before. Thing is, this site doesn’t generate revenue and for a number of reasons, the traffic just isn’t high enough to warrant spending $ to go dedicated. And when the shared server fills up, guess who loses out.
That cost/benefit brick wall is what happens when you’re a niche within a niche and you say things that can prove to be unpopular in the larger pool. It’s sobering to think that if the First Amendment were dependent on “in common use,” the case could be made for banning me…
