  1. Wow, what whining. They’re not particularly concerned that they destroyed their own credibility for decades, they’re outraged that the public realized it and left them for alternatives.

Since the pandemic, a wider skepticism for everything including vaccines and the price of eggs has changed the way people approach information in general: The thinking is, do your own research, and trust neither side…

“It used to be you had one source of news and you trusted it,” Mr. Smith said. “Now the news comes from everywhere, and I take it all with a grain of salt.”

They report this like it’s a bad thing!

    Just like the Founders intended.

We’re not supposed to trust our governments. A good bit of things are not trustworthy. Governments least of all. That’s why our government is structured the way it is. The various pieces are not supposed to trust each other, just to work together. The press isn’t to trust any of those pieces and to closely examine anything the governments do or say. And to top it off, we’re not to trust the governments or the press and to do our best to keep them all on their toes.

    It’s not a bug. It’s a feature!

At least, that’s the way it was SUPPOSED to work.
