Coincidentally, one of the reasons I blacklisted Florida as a residential possibility in 2000 was that they had a wealth tax, which has since been repealed.
I have been informed that Massachusetts isn’t part of the cabal because they already passed such a law on their own last November. My faith in their inordinate maleficence has been restored.
I got snookered. Massachusetts’ recent law is a “millionaires'” income tax, not a wealth tax. The latter is more insidious, as it milks retirees, who no longer have significant incomes, of their accumulated nest eggs.
