  1. This should kibosh the recently announced USPS scheme to send guns by mail.
Surely the registered and insured mail section of the Detroit facility is monitored by at least as many cams as watch me roll in and out of my nabe? Cams, right…everywhere.

    1. Bruh, I traveled on airlines across the country with tools. Electric hand drills had to be checked because they ‘looks like a gun’. So now that I had checked baggage, I selected flights that would not stop at selected cities. Ramp rats are known to steal. Certain cities with a certain population will still the buttons off your shirt. Detroit is right out.

I don’t trust the USPS to properly deliver regular mail. For a $25,000 purchase I would have had an employee fly down to hand deliver.

  2. UPS won’t even accept MGs for shipment anymore, and IIRC FedEx has extremely stringent requirements that are difficult to meet. U.S. Registered Mail has remained the only secure way to ship high dollar MGs. Then this incident occurred.

    1. I had long considered establishing a delivery service using light aircraft and vehicles. For the exclusive purpose of transporting high dollar items such as machine guns. But I couldn’t see how to wrangle costs to get enough of an already limited clientle to buy.
