An expectation of certain public caning upon conviction followed by 20 years busting rocks would put the crimp on a lot of impulses. Unfortunately, that would just net the stupid ones. Then again, maybe the government doesn’t want to admit how much it can crack and trace because of larger priorities.
As for real threats, less of this and more of this would go a long way toward making things right.

Unless we missed it, no journalist has been able to interview a member of the Patriot Front or identify the leader of the group. You’d think an intrepid reporter could trace the U-Haul truck to the person who rented it … The same seems to go for the 15 or so Nazis who gathered in front of the entrance to Disney World in Florida and waved Nazi flags and DeSantis flags.
