Police give reminders about safety threats as school returns [More]
We want to make sure you remember how helpless you will be.

Notes from the Resistance
Ex-“Only One” out to make a few bucks… figures. And, of course, no mention of FASTER.
Now do one on teachers trying to put out a five-alarm fire and use that as justification to remove extinguishers.
What a dishonest presentation. Nobody’s asking them to play Bruce Willis clearing the Nakatomi Tower.
And nobody’s forcing a commitment on anyone. But you start infringing on individual choice to exercise Constitutionally – protected freedom under force of arms and you’ve told everyone whose camp you’re in. As have voices supporting that, using the false authority logical fallacy to mask the fact that anyone defending “gun-free zones” is an oath-breaking statist.
But you know who agrees with you on no guns in schools, Jason?

States consider drones to stop school shootings [More]
Good grief. Everything but what’s needed.
Why do I picture bureaucrats sitting around a meeting table cracking each other up with increasingly ludicrous proposals?
“The drones can … spray pepper, and even knock active shooters down”…? Stop! I can’t breathe…
And it sounds like much of this is in Republican states…

A naturalized citizen born in Iraq is free from jail after facing charges for entering a Texas elementary school with a gun and tactical gear. [More]
Hey, at least they took his gun away. Now he won’t be able to get another one.

And the best way to keep killers from succeeding is by being able to stop them. [More]
Prohibitionists will do anything to avoid the obvious– besides, it ain’t their money.
South Dakota Democratic lawmaker switches registration to Republican – South Dakota Rep. Peri Pourier indicated that the key pillars of the GOP line up ‘with the principle of tribal sovereignty’ [More]
Whaddya know, she’s not a kneejerk gungrabber:
Pourier says school gun bill protects children… “As a mother, I worry about school shootings every day. So, I have to explain to everyone why did I vote for this bill. I’m gonna tell you if there was a school shooting in Wanblee, South Dakota, it would probably take more than an hour to respond.”
Seems pretty commonsense to me…
Suspect dead, two injured after shooting at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County [More]
And the reason we still don’t have a name…?
Even though I’ve seen plenty of prominent 2A “influencers” endorse “No Notoriety,” here are the reasons I disagree.

So, no Democrat wants to offer an alternative?

Ohio officials are reminding educational, religious and nonprofit institutions across the state to consider a range of safety-related resources and funding opportunities. [More]
No, of course the one thing that will work isn’t included.

Wow! I’m following her.
WIRED spoke to a self-proclaimed leader of an online group called Purgatory, which charged as little as $20 to call in fake threats against schools. [More]
Here I go rethinking my opposition to public crucifixion again…
I sometimes wonder if NSA has hacker tech that lets them know who these satanic cowards are but won’t reveal it because intelligence gathering requires plotters confident to talk.
And then I wonder if NSA hackers are behind it.

Minnesota has red flag laws…. But because the killer’s family affirmed his mental illness, there was nothing a gun shop could do. So unless you’re prepared to make transgenderism a diagnosed mental illness, none of that will matter. [More]
Not that red flag laws would stop a determined psycho predator from victimizing others, and the law that would work has zero chance of being enacted.
I’m actually drafting an article about a Democrat school district in California (is there any other kind?) that is taking steps to legally classify objectors as the ones with mental problems. Stay tuned.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is kicking off the new school year with safety as its top priority and a new layer of security. The school district announced that it will begin implementing its weapon detection screening program at school board regular business meetings. [More]
Because nothing says “safe spaces” like a “gun-free zone”!
And if an armed maniac decides to go through the detectors guns blazing…?
No comment from the Lairds…?

“The shooter was obsessed with the idea of killing children,” Thompson said. “The shooter saw the attack as a way to target our most vulnerable among us. While they were at their most vulnerable at school and at church. I won’t dignify the shooter’s words by repeating them. They are horrific and vile. But, in short, the shooter wanted to watch children suffer.” [More]
The most vulnerable and precious among us, the future, and Democrats don’t want to let us protect them from monsters of their creation…
When the staff went through Cassandra’s bag, they found a boxcutter. The weapon was confiscated and the staff told her that she wasn’t allowed to have it on campus. Lydia then told the security team she was recording the interaction and was testing the weapons detection systems. [More]
The weapon ostensibly used in the greatest mass murder in U.S. history…?
“Testing…” Sounds more like “lying.”
Convenient excuse though. What would happen to citizens who aren’t connected entitled Democrats is we used it?

Fox host Trey Gowdy: “We’re going to have to have a conversation of freedom versus protecting children. How many school shootings does it take before we’re going to have a conversation about keeping firearms out of — it’s always a young white male, almost always.” [More]
Yeah, except see the comments that follow.
Just in case anybody thought this fraud was a “conservative”…
Oh, look: Here he is “proving” he’s “one of us.”
And here he is weasel-wording for infringements.
So, naturally, Donald Trump has nothing but effusive praise for the guy. (But let Gowdy publicly criticize him and look how quickly he’ll be called a “loser.”)

We all know how the Dems will react. But, what will Trump do? [More]
This. He’s not stupid. He won’t do more.
Which means he won’t promote this.
