So, it appears that Tliab rejects gun violence that is not aligned with her political objectives. Good to know.
Let us take a step back. Instead of reducing “gun violence”, perhaps our goal should be reducing inappropriate violence of all forms and methods. Why fixate on guns other than to assuage the hoplophobic? Solutions to reduce inappropriate violence should also have the effect of reducing gun violence without infringement of our Second Amendment rights. However, sometimes gun violence is appropriate.
Who wants to tell her that #2 and #5 are the same? Or that #3 and #4 — and #6 and #7 — are the same ideas, put into different words? (How do we keep guns from “high-risk individuals”? Background checks! How do we ban guns without violating the takings clause of the Constitution? “Buy backs!”)
One of these days we’re going to hear about the 12-step plan to “end gun violence.” They don’t actually have 12 ideas; it’s the same four repeated three times with slightly different wording.
