We couldn’t have a 4 way stop on my corner until somebody died. Telling the county traffic engineers that somebody WAS GONNA die was like talking to a wall. We have our 4 way stop now. The jogger who died was a week away from her wedding.
They didn’t take that Clancy’s novel about a 747 ramming into a joint special session of Congress and decapitating the entire US government seriously. Then some folks flew loaded jetliners into the WTC and Pentagon. Now they take it seriously.
Even after a raft of hearings, nothing has been done about hardening the country against an EMP attack.
They don’t take anything seriously until somebody does it, and a whole lot of somebodies die.
Like we used to say at TPC: “Nothing changes but the date.”
I like the irony of Omar quoting the ADL, a group formed to defend a Jewish child rapist who tried to blame a black guy for the murder. I guess the mutual hatred for western civilization by Omar and the ADL take priority, though.
I wonder if an honest forensic historian would be able to reopen the Leo Frank case without detroying his career. Anyone who questions it is immediately smeared as a white supremacist, even though “The pardon did not address Frank’s guilt or innocence, only the state’s failure to protect him.
