Someone, somewhere is pretty good at game theory and scoping the potential reactions, results and benefits.
That person pushed Texas in exactly the right direction to assure multiple other states pulling the same crap for team D, enough to immolate team R’s wee majority at the House.
Way to go Abbott and allies, way to go.

I think we could be safe in betting the farm that this will be challenged in multiple courts filed in multiple courts both state and federal.
Whether it stands or not is toss up. But unless come court grows the balls to stay implementation, and given the pending election(s) that will be influenced one way or another by the outcome of any of the likely lawsuits, that is unlikely, we can pretty much assume that DJT’s second administration will be kneecapped just as much as was his first. He will already be seen as a lame duck by some folks as soon as this week, with predictable results as the ripples spread across the pond.
Presidents taken to court while still in office, former presidents sentenced to prison, are things common to the political cesspools of Central and South America and the Caribbean. And we were vain enough to think it could happen to us. That we, as a nation, were somehow special. Somehow we were exempt from that pit.
