Gavin Newsom’s proposal for a 28th Amendment is an admirable effort to confront the gun violence epidemic, a better proposal would be to repeal and replace the 2nd Amendment through Congress and the states. Only a Leftist could call the 2nd Amendment’s language “convoluted”. It’s objectively about as clear as it gets.
The only explanation is that to Bob, “convoluted language” means “language I don’t like or agree with”.
The constitution is a contract of prohibitionary limitation on government, not a shopping list of specific privileges for citizens.
