Democrat’s Absurd Gun Ban Moves Ahead… The Democrat’s gun owner entrapment bill, SB 243… makes instant criminals out of Oregonians who lawfully obtained and lawfully used certain devices such as forced reset triggers. [More]
And absurd Republicans are helping them.
Oregon is a very blue state but only because of its northern cites on the I-5 corridor.
However in many of the red counties (that voted for Trump overwhelming) the State Representatives and State Senators who are elected as republicans are really democrats pretending to be republicans because they knew the only way to being elected was through the republican party.
These democrats pretending to be republicans now control the Oregon State republican party and the apparatus of that party is now dedicated to re-electing these incumbents by denying support to any real conservative who might challenge them in the primaries.
I am assuming this template is the same for many blue states that are only dominated by a few blue cities surrounded by red counties.
Regardless of what a politician says on the campaign trail, once in office they have exactly ONE goal: Re-election.
Not serving the People. Not supporting and upholding the Constitution. Getting re-elected.
The Oregon Republicans demonstrably Do Not Care about their constituents, their duty to the voters and Constitution (State and Federal), or the promises they made on the campaign trail. They care about being re-elected. And as long as they keep running with a ‘R’ after their name, they will be.
After all, what are the good people of rural Oregon going to do about it? Vote for the Democrat? Hah!
In my red county (60% voted for DJT) more people are registered non partisan than republican or democrat.
We ran a conservative in the republican primary against the incumbent RINO Senator, we lost, was outspent 10 to 1, the local R party did everything possible to help the incumbent but he still had around 40% of the R’s not vote for him in the R (closed) primary.
It’s possible an independent conservative in the general pulling together a coalition of conservatives R’s & nonpartisans could take this RINO out.
Some may say, but we might elect a democrat by splitting the vote, personally I don’t see a difference between a RINO who votes with democrats and a democrat.
We take this RINO out and it will make the rest of the RINO’s in the state start looking over their shoulders and second guessing their RINO ways.
I agree with George Washington when he said;
“The common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.”
