When the LVMPD’s final investigative report came out, it included a list of weapons fired, and how many rounds each.
And which ones were equipped with bump stocks.
There were 12 rifles with bump stocks that had been fired. 8 of them had PARTIALLY expended mags. That suggests to me that the SOB did use bump fire, and that those weapons jammed. One issue with bump fire is FTF/FTE; the semi-auto “limp wrist” effect. There’s a Miculek video out there that shows him trying a bump stocked rifle to see if he could fire faster with that, than with a conventional stock.
No, he couldn’t. Because the bump stock rifle kept jamming.
Anyway, I suspect the murderer did use bump fire, and inadvertently saved lives when his weapons jammed.
Right, but were the results of examing those rifles’ inner workings for auto sears and the like released?
