I’m remembering a scene where Gandhi it talking to a bunch of reporters on the roadside. Meanwhile a seemingly endless crowd of people shuffle by. At some point Gandhi looks up and says “You’ll have to excuse me, I have to catch up with that crowd. I’m their leader.”
At some point the Left might figure out that the NRA has no political power. The political power is held by the NRA’s membership, and the multitude of like minded voters who are not in the NRA: The ones that Jeff Knox calls “gun voters.”
I kinda feel like maybe we should hold “US v Cruikshank” in reserve should that day ever come to pass.
Besides, as the great philosopher, W. C. Fields, once said “Never smarten up a chump.”
