They say 25-year-old Alexander Roy was trying a “dry fire” of the gun, thinking that it was unloaded, when he aimed at Hernandez and shot him. Police say alcohol was a factor in the shooting. [More]
Oh, but something like this has to be a one-time thing, right?
Right…?
Tell me again about police officer gun exemptions due to superior training and trustworthiness…

Badge or no badge, one thing remains true:
Intoxicants of any kine and firearms are a bad mix.
I dunno, man– I keep a stocked liquor cabinet, have a couple fingers and a cigar when I feel like it, and have never come close to abusing it to the point where I am irresponsible with guns.
With the exception of the cigar, so do I, David.
But the key word here is “mix”.
I don’t imbibe when handling firearms and vice versa.
And I don’t believe you do either.
I’d qualify that with “when practice or recreation shooting.”
Then again, we’ve already established that I don’t own any guns. Nasty, evil things, always going around killing people…
