Now that sher been fired her victim can file suit against mher directly….in addition to the sheriff’s office. Hopefully he bankrupts her.
This is why, as Herschel says, there is zero legitimate reason for a police officer to seize, handle, or manipulate the firearm of a compliant citizen, and a whole lotta reasons not to.
And why, as Herschel also says, you’re never in more danger than when police are around.
She has been fired. Good, but that’s only a start. The rest of them should be, too, for not stopping her. And whoever wrote the policy that says they need to seize that pistol.
And I’ll just point out that the citizen disarmament camp’s assertion that “your gun will just be taken from you and used against you” turns out to be somewhat correct, but near-exclusively when it’s “highly-trained” police doing the taking.
