Boston police detective charged with drunk driving after Brookline crash… McKeown was swearing at the other driver and blaming him for the accident… He initially refused when officers attempted to conduct field sobriety tests and stated “Trooper, do you understand who I am?” [More]
What an @$$hole. Can you imagine being at this oinker’s mercy, especially after he’s had a few?
I’m a firm believer that how a person behaves when drunk does not excuse them, but instead shows what they’re really like with the filters removed.

They tell you, in high school health class and the liquor license class, that the first thing affected by alcohol is judgment.
And what is judgment, if not the mind’s filter on speech and actions?
So I agree: The impaired judgment from being drunk doesn’t change a person. It just reveals the personality underneath all the filters.
And as a follow-up, because I didn’t notice the first time:
He initially refused when officers attempted to conduct field sobriety tests….
For you and I, refusal is an automatic “fail”, with DUII charges soon to follow. But he’s a “highly-trained” “Only One”, so probably not for him.
